Our company was founded 1992 by Joe and Barbara Giamona.  It has remained a small, family owned and operated enterprise utilizing long term working partnerships with some of Seattle's largest fabricators and tool makers.  Those relationships and our engineering, machine shop, panel fabrication and assembly facilities have enabled us to provide high tech automated manufacturing solutions to a customer base that includes internationally recognized fortune 100 companies.

Motion Control Systems, Inc. offers:

  • Large scale, servo-based, network controlled flexible tooling, robotics based manufacturing and control systems. Options include complete or partial systems, engineering and/or software; on-site installation management and/or integration management.

  • Specialized actuators, including subsystem assembly and integration. Options include supplying the product or supplying the product design and a first article.

  • Lean manufacturing control systems utilizing network-based methodologies. Options include integrated system and/or electrical design and/or control software.

  • Intellectual property in the form of motion control software, both source code and methods; in the form of mechanical engineering, both tooling and robotics; in the form of electrical engineering, primarily motion control system design and methods.

MCS can provide “turn key” systems, work in cooperation with customer engineering and manufacturing capabilities, or provide intellectual property from an extensive library of motion control software and project files. MCS does not offer contract engineering services.

MCS holds patent 6,757,583 (Interpolated motion control over serial network) and developed patents 6,374,937 & 6,131,690 (Motorized robotics for medical imaging means) under customer contract. Joe Giamona was also instrumental in the development of patent 5,427,363 (End effecter for flexible tooling).
